Located in Namibia's capital city Windhoek, Rivendell caters for guests who enjoy homely, comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price. Families are welcome and a cot with bedding can be provided on request.

Our emphasis is on friendly hospitality and helpfulness, whether it be reserving a table at the best restaurant in town, organising a day trip, finding a rental car, booking a safari or planning a full self-drive itinerary.

We are located in a leafy suburb within walking distance of Windhoek city centre. In addition we offer a comprehensive travel booking office on site and are happy to assist with all your travel arrangements, Africa Tourist Info (ATI).

We offer our guests fully equipped self-catering facilities in a large open-plan kitchen as well as the option of bed & breakfast. We pride ourselves on offering a full cooked English breakfast in addition to fresh fruit, yoghurt, breads, pastries and a cold meat & cheese platter. We have a self-service bar as well as a communal lounge where guests can relax and watch satellite TV, dining room, shaded veranda, well-kept gardens and a large patio area with swimming pool.

We also have safe off-road parking, secure storage for luggage, staff-operated laundry facilities, internet access and a metered guest phone.

Our reception is open from 7am until 10pm and we have a night security guard (as well as two large but very friendly dogs).

We kindly request that guests smoke outside only.

For breakfast, you may choose from fresh fruit, a selection of cereals, yoghurt, white or wholemeal toast, a selection of jams & marmalades, cheese and cold meat, bacon, pork sausage, hash browns, fried tomatoes, baked beans, eggs (hot breakfast is cooked to order), tea or coffee, fresh fruit juice. Breakfast packs are also available for early departures.

Exchange Rates, Taxes and Credit Cards:

Directions from Windhoek International Airport:
Turn right out of the airport onto Sam Nujoma Drive heading towards Windhoek. Follow this road for 42km, right through town, crossing Independence Ave, Mandume Ndemufayo Ave and Hosea Kutako Drive. Once Hosea Kutako has been crossed, take the second right at the corner shop into Beethoven Street. Follow Beethoven up the hill and straight across John Meinert Road. Rivendell is the second house on the right, number 40 Beethoven Street.
